Navigating the Tree

Tap a flower to drill into it — category → sub-groups → skills. Single-child levels are skipped automatically.

Tap the centre hex to go back one level. From the top level, the centre takes you to Overview.

Bottom-left arrow also steps back a level.

Skills & milestones

Tap a skill to open its milestones. Tap a milestone to mark it done (tap again to undo). Completing milestones is what raises every level.

Nodes fill with colour as you progress, and glow once well-developed.

Freezing a skill

Press and hold a node (about half a second) to freeze it — useful for skills you're not training right now. Frozen skills are dimmed with a marker and don't count toward your level or appear in Next Steps.

Press and hold again to unfreeze. Holding a flower freezes everything inside it at once.

Next Steps

Suggests what to work on next, based on what you've started. Skip a suggestion to defer it — it drops to a deferred list and circles back around once everything else is done. Restore any deferred skill anytime.

My Repertoire

Add a song title and pick a grade to name one of that grade's slots (up to 3 each). ✎ renames, ✕ removes (clears that slot's progress). Tap a title to jump to its piece in the Tree.

The complete map

Tap the logo (top-left) to see your whole tree at once — every cluster, grouped by category, glowing where you've progressed. Pinch to zoom, drag to pan, tap any node to jump to it.

Grades

In setup or Settings, tap to mark grades you've already passed — their repertoire is treated as complete so you start where you actually are.

Backup & restore

Settings → Data. Export saves everything to a file (share it to Drive / iCloud / Files). Import restores it (your current data is auto-saved first). Do this before switching devices or browsers — progress is stored per-browser.

100 means skill, not time. The level tracks genuine ability, not hours logged. A bedroom player caps around 95; the last stretch comes only through performance — because performing is a skill.

Skill Echoes: credit for what your hands do. Some practice physically builds other techniques. Master scales (alternate-picked) and you've trained alternate picking; arpeggios train sweep picking; 3-note-per-string runs train legato. Those echo across automatically.

Knowing isn't doing. Echoes only fire from physical practice, never from theory. The condition is baked into the milestone — scales only build picking if you actually alternate-pick them.

Honest gaps. Economy picking has no single clean source skill, so nothing echoes into it — it's left empty on purpose rather than faked.

Your authorship. Skipping grades and freezing skills are sovereign choices. The app reflects your path; it doesn't dictate it.
